For parents, you will find out how Occupational Therapists can assist your child in their development. You may be looking for ideas to help your child in an area they have difficulty. You may be waiting for therapy or in-between "blocks" of therapy. You may also be looking for ideas to incorporate into your daily routine or "home program".
This is NOT a website designed to make parents feel guilty about what they are not doing. Please use this website as a resource for when you have "time" and "energy" to do these things. I'm a parent and I understand the demands of daily living on a family. The activities and recipes in the "Homemade" section aim to be achievable and fun, even for those who are not "crafty". For teachers and educators, I hope to clarify Occupational Therapy terms and provide practical ways to assist you. You will find activities, apps and worksheets all suitable for the classroom or preschool environment. For therapists, I hope to provide some of my tried and tested ideas but I look forward to hearing from you about your practice as well. Subscribe to my eNewsletters and you will receive the latest blogs directly to your email address. You can also follow me on Facebook and Pinterest. Read more about me in the "About" section on the website and come back regularly to browse the "Your Kids OT shop". I look forward to the journey ahead! Please join me and tell your friends and colleagues. Thank you! Comments are closed.
