A useful reference sheet for Occupational Therapists and teachers who look at a child's pencil grasp. Pencil grasps on this sheet are categorised by early grasps, inefficient grasps and functional grasps. This reference sheet has photographs and description for each grasp.

Functional grasps have elements such as; an open web space; pencil held by first three fingers; stability of the 4th and 5th fingers.
