"Sticky Feet" is a set of printable footprints to use with young children learning to jump and hop.


This resource can be used to help children to develop a number of skills including:

  • discriminating between left and right
  • learning directionality (left, right, forward, backward, side ways)
  • motor planning
  • balance
  • coordination



Print several copies of the resource and use the desired footprints. Position the feet in any desired pattern. This pattern can be changed frequently to help your child to develop motor planning skills.


This resource was developed to be laminated. I glue additional non-slip material to the laminated pages to provide "sticky" or sensory feedback for the child as their foot meets the picture. I also add hook velcro to the underside of the page to help secure it to carpet or a rug.
